Darren Reighard, Account Executive

Darren joined Benefit Connections, Inc. in March. 2008. He brings to the team his experience in internal corporate consulting, project management, leadership, collaboration, business analysis, and vendor negotiations.

Darren has held a variety of positions since college beginning with working as a civilian logistician for the Department of the Navy. Prior to building his career around 12 years of experience in the health care industry, Darren was able to go aboard two aircraft carriers and fly a multi-million dollar military airplane simulator.

Licensed with the State of Pennsylvania to sell Health, Life, and Accident insurance, Darren is a member of the Cumberland Valley Professional Referral Exchange (PRE), is involved with the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce, and is very active in his church (where he served two terms as St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Council President). Darren is also involved in both the Carlisle and Boiling Springs communities, particularly as a volunteer coach for his children’s various sports teams.

When not enjoying partnering with businesses and individuals in identifying solutions to their benefit needs, Darren stays busy with his wife, Angie, of 16 years and their son, Noah, and daughter, Lily. No moss grows under this family’s feet! The weekend warriors can often be found hiking or biking rails-to-trails pathways; including exploring spots along the C&O Canal, while pedaling from Maryland into West Virginia and back the same day.

Darren embraces the opportunity to be part of the dynamic expansion of Benefit Connections, Inc., and to help foster the exciting growth, while contributing to the company’s bottom line and future successes.

Laurie Schoeller, Receptionist/Office Assistant

Laurie joined our team at Benefit Connections in April 2007. She brings with her a “knack for numbers” and is a stickler for detail.

Laurie began her sales career selling Marine Corps uniforms at The Marine Shop in Quantico, VA. She then moved on to selling CD’s and IRA’s, as well as doing teller work at the former Farmers Trust Company in Carlisle. After being blessed with two boys in less than two years, Laurie left the working world to become a stay-at-home mom. During this time, Laurie stayed socialized as a consultant for Pampered Chef, doing over 100 home parties. When her youngest son entered school full time, Laurie followed him to Rice Elementary where she worked for nearly ten years.

In her free time, Laurie is the Treasurer for the Boiling Springs Touchdown Club. This is where she honed her skill of being a tightwad and has become known as Benefit Connections #1 recycler. Laurie also enjoys singing in the choir at Country & Town Baptist Church where she and her family are members. For the last five years, Laurie has enjoyed traveling with other hunting widows during late November. In November 2007, they will make their second trip to the Dominican Republic “to work on our tans.” Because of Laurie’s competitive nature, she also enjoys the occasional game of golf with her tournament buddies.

Laurie and husband, Ralph, have been married for 18 years. They have three children; Shannon, a police officer and Iraqi War veteran; Adam, a senior athlete and scholar at Boiling Springs High School; and Collin, a sophomore musical “genius”, in the middle of most anything that involves music or drama at Boiling Springs.

Laurie is looking forward to growing with our company over the next few years as she and Ralph move into the next phase of their marriage, becoming empty nesters. “I think this is when you’re supposed to knock down a wall and add a Jacuzzi. Or….maybe we’ll just go to Disney World!”
